Construction Project Manager

The RoleThis role is remote, with 50% travel to the states we have cultivation/production facilities, primarily travel will be in mid-west and east coast but could be in any of the 14 states we operate.GTI just keeps growing and growing! We're seeking a logistical genius and construction management guru to oversee CPG construction projects. As a Construction Project Manager for GTI CPG, you will be responsible for serving as the liaison between GTI HQ and our Cultivation/Processing Facility build-outs in the field ensuring scope of work is executed, quality of brand is maintained, timelines are beat, and budgets are always in the green! You should have off the charts communication skills to work with sub-contractors/vendors and your teammates alike. As a proven Construction PM, you have managed 20+ projects at a time working across a national landscape.ResponsibilitiesCultivation Facility Construction (Primary Focus)Lead full lifecycle cultivation construction from feasibility through commissioning and turnoverOversee build-outs including:Flower roomsVegetative and propagation roomsMother plant roomsDrying and curing roomsIrrigation and fertigation systemsTrim and post-harvest processing areasCoordinate high-performance HVACD systems designed for:Precise temperature and humidity controlVapor pressure deficit (VPD) optimizationAirflow uniformity and disease mitigationManage installation of:Dehumidification systemsChilled water systemsCO2 distribution systemsEnvironmental control automationHigh-capacity electrical infrastructureCoordinate lighting systems (LED/HPS) and energy load planningEnsure building envelope performance supports environmental control goalsPartner with cultivation leadership to align facility design with yield and operational targetsLead commissioning and environmental system balancing prior to operational handoffManufacturing Facilities (Secondary Focus)Support construction of:Commercial kitchensInfusion and formulation labsPackaging and labeling linesVault and storage spacesCoordinate sanitary design and regulated production environmentsOversee MEP and process utility coordinationExtraction Facilities (Secondary Focus)Support build-outs of:Hydrocarbon, ethanol, CO2, and solventless extraction labsPost-processing and refinement areasCoordinate hazardous location construction (C1D1 / C1D2)Ensure compliance with fire code, NFPA, and AHJ requirementsCore Project Management ResponsibilitiesDirect all phases of construction management:Site due diligence and feasibility analysisBudget development and cost controlSchedule creation and critical path managementDesign coordination with architects and engineersContractor oversight and field executionCommissioning and close-out documentationDevelop resource-loaded critical path schedulesManage capital budgets and cashflow forecastingTrack performance across cost, schedule, scope, and qualityServe as single point of contact between HQ, site leadership, engineers, contractors, landlords, and regulatorsMaintain strict adherence to corporate safety, quality, and community standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, preferred5+ years of project management experience, preferredExperience with the following is preferred:Controlled Environmental Agriculture (CEA)Greenhouse or indoor grow facilitiesHigh-capacity HVAC and mechanical systemsIndustrial electrical distribution systemsExperience managing multi-site, multi-state expansion programsStrong understanding of environmental controls and agricultural infrastructure preferredTechnical SkillsProficient in construction management software such as:Primavera P6ProcoreTimberlinePlanGrid (or similar)Advanced Microsoft Project and Excel (budget tracking, forecasting, modeling)Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, irrigation, and environmental control drawingsExperience coordinating large mechanical subcontractors and specialty vendorsProfessional AttributesHighly analytical and systems-orientedStrong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilitiesComfortable managing 15-20+ concurrent projects nationallyEffective communicator across operations, engineering, compliance, and executive leadershipOperates with professionalism and integrityThrives in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsAdditional RequirementsMust pass all required background checksMust remain compliant with all applicable state and company regulationsFlexible schedule required, including occasional evenings/weekends during critical project phasesWillingness to travel nationally as requiredThe pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role.
