Litigation Paralegal (Insurance Defense)

Job description:Law firm located in the Denver Tech Center is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to assist multiple attorneys in all stages of litigation matters, as well as file and case management. 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation is preferred. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed. Ideal candidate must work well independently as well as a contributing member of a team; have excellent written and oral communication skills, experience with e-filing, calendaring, scheduling, preparing disclosures, and deposition and trial prep. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are also essential in addition to working well under pressure and in a fast-paced atmosphere.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAssist with all phases of litigation support, case and document management, preparation and coordination of discovery, trial preparation and trialPreparing and formatting pleadings and other legal documentsDocument ReviewInteraction with clients, experts and lay witnesses, both orally and through written communicationFiling legal documents (electronic and paper) in Federal, State, and Appellate CourtsMonitoring case docketMaintaining active case filesLegal fact and basic legal researchCoordinate and schedule calendarsRequired Skills/Qualifications3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm, supporting multiple attorneysFamiliarity with common litigation documents, including complaints, answers, notices of appearance, motions, miscellaneous notices, and ordersKnowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure (FRAP), and state court rulesStrong computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointHigh level of organization and time-management skillsAbility to work under pressure and prioritize competing demandsSelf-starter with good problem-solving skills while maintaining client service orientation.Must possess strong writing and analytical skills to independently review, draft, and prepare documents.Responds promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently and to meet deadlines.Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.Qualifications3+ years' as Litigation Paralegal, preferably insurance defenseAbility to work overtimeBenefitsThis Law Firm offers a professional work environment, competitive wages, and an excellent benefits package.Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance401kPaid Time OffShort-Term/Long-Term Disability and Life InsuranceParkingAnd more!
