Job SummaryThe Industrial Controls Engineer designs /programs, and supports PLC-based automation systems for industrial processes. Responsibilities include control panel design,systemintegration, troubleshooting electrical and control systems, and supporting equipment installation and startup.Job Duties / ResponsibilitiesDesign, fabricate, and install PLC based process control panelsTroubleshoot and upgrade existing control panelsMaintain inventory of all PLC/HMI rack systems and programsInstall and support low voltage three-phase electrical systemsDevelop and maintain electrical schematic sand wiring diagramsBe able to troubleshoot low voltage electrical control systemsSpecify wiring and motor controls for low voltage systemsInstall power distribution and protection systemsDesign and configure HMI interfacesInstall and calibrate temperature controllers and transmittersPressure Transmitters4-20ma Loop ControllersBurner Controllers and ActuatorsIndustrial pH MetersLevel TransmittersFlow MetersVariable Frequency DrivesWork ConditionsPhysically available to lift up to 50lbManual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching, and bending for long periods of timeOvertime as neededJob RequirementsAS, BSEE, BSEET, or technical degree3-5 years of industry experienceReview projects including quotes, job specifications, and resolve any quote to job specifications differencesSystem Architecture including non-standard material and control panel power requirements/distributionReview specifications and standard practices – inclusive of the internal hardwired and logic standards, general specifications and scope of workDesign requirements which include establishing non-standard designs, generating system map layouts, generating a sequence of operations, reviewing cycle timestudies and dimension switch layouts.
