Risk/Purchasing Manager

Purchasing & Risk ManagerA growing utilities services organization is seeking a Purchasing & Risk Manager to build and lead procurement and risk practices within a newly structured, internationally backed environment. This is a high-impact, newly created role designed to elevate purchasing controls, vendor governance, and insurance oversight while supporting operational agility in the field. Following a recent global acquisition, leadership is focused on strengthening internal processes, audit readiness, and risk managementwithout slowing down day-to-day operations. This role sits at the center of that transformation. Key ResponsibilitiesBuild & Optimize Purchasing Processes: Establish scalable procurement policies, internal controls, and sourcing strategies, primarily focused on subcontractor and service-based purchasing rather than inventory. Vendor Management & Governance: Oversee supplier selection, qualification, and performance; implement vendor vetting, scorecards, and backup sourcing strategies in a limited supplier market. Risk & Insurance Oversight: Manage general liability and business risk programs, including claims support, broker coordination, and annual policy renewals; ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives. Audit Readiness & Compliance: Prepare for and support internal/external audits by documenting processes, aligning practices with policy, and reinforcing compliance across procurement and operations.
