QC SAMPLER AND WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
SUMMARY: Ensures all incoming raw materials, packaging components, and labels are received and sampled per the standards of the Quality Control department. Assist in the organization and general duties of the warehouse.
DUTIES:

Review the Raw material Certificate of Analysis and prepare labels and bags for sampling.
Aseptically pull incoming raw material, packaging, and label samples, file appropriate documentation including Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Manufacture, test results, and release to stock.
Collaborate with the Quality Control Laboratory to manage retain samples and associated documentation.
Assists in releasing incoming raw material after test results conform with internal specifications by applying release labels to each drum, box, bags, pallet, etc. when needed.
Works closely with Quality and Production Managers to know the sampling priority on incoming raw material.
Approve and release conforming packaging components and DBA and apply release labels to pallets of components released.
Maintain QC retain samples and documentation of components released for the incoming packaging components.
Performs ATP and visual verification of equipment cleaning as needed.
Performs allergen residue testing to verify cleaning and allergen removal is complete.
Clean sampling booth and theifs as needed.
Works with Quarantine area to ensure materials are properly secured and logged in the IMR process.
Assists in putting raw materials away in their proper locations after product is released.
Assist in sensory evaluation of in process blends when needed.
Assists in warehouse organization when needed.
Backs up Shipping/Receiving for receiving materials in DBA when needed.
Assists with any QC/warehouse projects that are required.
Will perform other Quality Control/warehouse duties, as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The individual (s) is responsible for complying with all rules and regulations in the Employee Handbook and the Safety Manual (IIPP).
The individual (s) is responsible for completing all of the above duties as required within the required time frame.
The individual (s) must follow all SOPs, GMPs, Safety Rules and other State and Federal Health Guidelines as required by Protein Research.
The individual (s) must comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
It is the responsibility of the individuals to communicate with his or her supervisor when and as necessary to complete their jobs as required.
Acute attention to details
Forklift Certification preferred.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
High school diploma or equivalent required
One to two years of related warehouse experience

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and MRP Software preferred.

Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Walk, kneel, squat, bend, stand and climb ladders.
Reach, Twist, Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Grab, grasp and use fingers and hands to push buttons and operate machinery.
Wear appropriate safety equipment.
Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack, and forklift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is mainly performed in the warehouse where temperatures are cool/hot and noise levels can be moderate to high.
This position is exposed to small particles, allergens, and odors.
This position requires you to wear common protective and/or safety gear, i.e., gloves, facemask, hairnet, etc.
