Part-Time Teacher (Math Focus)

Job Description: At Everstone Academy, we restore joy, identity, and possibility for learners who think differently—through deep expertise, strong relationships, and a supportive ecosystem for children and families. All programs we use are designed with the unique needs of dyslexic students, including Wilson Reading System, Woodin Math, and the Writing Revolution.In partnership with Alcuin Montessori, Everstone offers a half-day academic program paired with Alcuin’s nationally recognized Montessori education. Students receive specialized instruction through Everstone in the morning and participate in Montessori academics and enrichment in the afternoon, including art, Spanish, swimming, and theater.Everstone Academy is seeking a part-time math teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, collaborative, organized problem solver who also possesses a strong desire to learn, grow and develop themselves professionally.Location: 6942 Roosevelt Rd, Oak Park, IL 60304Hours/week: 7:30-12:30 PM, Monday-Friday (25 hours/week)Start Date: August 17, 2026 (kick-off week)Salary: Starting at $40,000 (will depend on qualification and years of experience)PTO: Enjoy generous paid time off—25 days during the school year plus 12 personal/sick days.Responsibilities:Obtain and use student math data to target the individual academic and SEL needs of students (ILP goals)Thoughtfully co-plan and flexibly implement lessons to meet student needsCreate and maintain classroom management systems and data collectionCollaborate with the Teaching Team to meet the needs of students and develop as an educatorMaintain a safe and warm learning environmentEffectively communicate with parentsParticipate in ongoing collaboration with the building administration regarding effective instructional strategies, student groups + pacing, and planningUtilize Everstone systems and curriculum with fidelitySkills & Competencies:Professional Educator License requiredSpecial Education Certification is a bonusExperience teaching math to students through a special education lensWorking knowledge of cognitive and emotional learning differencesDedicated professional with experience using strategies to support academic and social emotional successAbility to interact in a professional manner with students, parents and ILP Team MemberCommitted individual with experience developing and implementing individualized goals and behavior plansAbility to collaborate professionally and effectively with staffStrong oral and written expression skillsIEP/ILP ExpertiseAbility to create and effectively implement differentiated lesson plansBenefits:Paid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceExperience:Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)Special education: 2 years (Bonus)License/Certification:Teaching Certification (Required)Ability to Relocate:Oak Park, IL 60304: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: 6942 W Roosevelt Rd, Oak Park, IL 60304
