Bicycle Shop Mechanic
Job Summary
We are looking for a new mechanic to join our team.
You will be working underneath our head mechanic, helping them ensure all work orders are completed in a timely fashion. We are looking for some one who has previous experience working as a mechanic at a bicycle shop. Your primary job will be completing work orders, but when the shop is busy you may be required to pause your work and help a customer or two throughout the day.
We are able to work around any existing schedule you may have.
Responsibilities
Service & Repair: Perform tune-ups, drivetrain cleanings, brake bleeds, wheel truing, and other miscellaneous repairs.
Assembly: Build new bikes out of the box to shop standards.
Diagnostics: Work with the service manager to diagnose any issues that arise after the initial estimate/quote.
Component Installation: Upgrade and install aftermarket parts, including tubeless conversions, dropper posts, and electronic shifting systems.
Inventory Management: Assist the service manager in keeping the parts inventory clean and correct.
Customer Interaction: Assist customers with technical questions, explain service recommendations, and ensure a good pickup experience.
Qualifications
Technical Experience: Previous experience working on bikes is preferred, but not required. We will offer on the job training if needed.
Precision: We're looking for someone with a high attention to detail. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot compatibility issues across various drivetrain generations and brands.
Communication: Ability to communicate smoothly with service manager and head mechanic with any repair issues.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
