Job Title: DB2 DBALocation: Columbus, OH (Remote)Duration: 12 months+Position Details: Experience with database design and development efforts Experience on large DB2LUW Databases V11.1, and V11.5 (new) environmentsCreate high availability environments using HADR, Q-Replication, Attunity, Purescale, or other software.Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service.Experience in review of Explain Plans with the dba team and developers to make recommendations.Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.Knowledge of federated databases Knowledge and understanding of the business strategy and use of back-office applicationsAbility to handle conflicting priorities.Ability to learn.Receptive to change.Ability to communicate with business users at all levels.Analytical skillsSelf-motivated and pro-activeEnsuring high Database availability Experienced in terms of best DB query practice & methods Customer Service TeamworkOut of Hours Support where required experience of working in high pressure results oriented organization.Strong strategic process and procedure methodology with attention to maintaining robust audit controls.Ability and flexibility to travel internationally at short notice.Work within multi-lingual environmentsReview and evaluate performance of the databases.Schedule Monthly, quarterly maintenance windows when required.Open and coordinate service requests with IBMSupport Participate in DB2LUW Team meetings Ensure alignment with current IT standards and controls Open and coordinate service requests with IBM Support.
