Direct caregiver worker
Overview
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, disabilities, and seniors in various settings such as assisted living facilities, home care, and senior care residences.
Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Monitor and document changes in individual's health or behavior
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals under your care
- Help individuals with mobility and transportation needs
Qualifications
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, disabilities, or seniors is preferred
- Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with individuals under your care and their families
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and basic medical procedures is a plus
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications required for the role
