Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT, PRESERVE has 17 professionals and manages a portfolio of 37 properties and 4,800+ units across Ohio, Utah, Texas, and Colorado, with approximately $800MM+ in assets under management.SEQUOIA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance needs of its Columbus, OH portfolio of 17 properties and 2,500+ units. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining the physical condition and operational performance of the properties, working across multiple sites to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and capital improvement support.Prerequisites•      5+ years of relevant experience in a Maintenance Technician or similar role•      Ohio EPA 608 Certification required•      Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute across multiple propertiesResponsibilities•      Perform hands-on repair and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems across the portfolio•      Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air systems, single and three-phase electrical panels, and low/medium temp refrigeration systems•      Use test equipment including volt ohm meters, combustible gas meters, and amp meters; read blueprints and circuit diagrams as needed•      Execute preventive maintenance schedules to keep building systems operating efficiently and reduce reactive repairs•      Support unit turns, including inspections, punch list completion, and coordination with vendors and internal crews•      Assist in the execution of capital improvement projects under the direction of the Maintenance Director•      Communicate proactively with the Maintenance Director on work status, outstanding issues, and property conditions•      Other duties as assignedCandidate Profile•      Strong construction and maintenance knowledge base with hands-on technical expertise•      Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and properties simultaneously•      Self-directed with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to work independently in the field•      Strong communicator — able to work effectively with the Maintenance Director, on-site managers, vendors, and residents•      Problem-solving mindset with resourceful, solutions-oriented thinking•      Experience in the Columbus market preferred•      Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities•      Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; must be able to travel to project sites across the portfolioBenefitsThis is a FULL-TIME position offering the following:•      Salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus opportunities•      Health & dental — full coverage of employee premiums and 100% of dependent premiums•      401(k) savings plan•      20 days PTO and 10 holidays per year•      Opportunities for professional development and advancement
