Safety Manager

Job Title: Safety ManagerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to oversee safety coordinators across multiple installation sites. This role involves coordinating daily activities with the operations team and managing both routine and complex aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs during installations. The successful candidate will implement safety programs across various business units and provide necessary reports to site and safety leadership.Responsibilities+ Ensure compliance with safety programs on assigned sites and address specific needs and corrective actions.+ Increase health and safety awareness throughout the company.+ Respond to employee safety concerns and work with contractors and management to improve overall safety.+ Lead and manage Safety Coordinators and contractor safety personnel, setting goals and providing training, coaching, and counseling.+ Identify and mitigate hazards at job sites, continuously monitoring risks.+ Ensure timely investigation, reporting, and preventive actions for incidents involving personnel, contractors, and visitors.+ Conduct safety meetings, one-on-ones, and updates, and assist in developing and maintaining site safety plans.+ Audit contractor safety programs and align them with company and customer standards.+ Ensure completion of site-specific safety training, including first aid, CPR, and accident prevention.+ Arrange health and safety testing and evaluations by external agencies as needed.+ Liaise with customers regarding emergency procedures and safety education programs.+ Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, programs, and procedures.+ Perform risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.+ Conduct safety inspections at all facilities where personnel are present.+ Develop and adapt customer-specific safety programs to meet expectations.Essential Skills+ 5+ years of safety experience in construction or manufacturing environments.+ 3+ years of management/leadership experience with safety teams.+ 2+ years of experience conducting safety training for internal teams.+ Proficiency in creating KPI data and addressing underperformance.+ Bachelor's degree in safety management, technical discipline, or equivalent education preferred.+ Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in safety, preferably in a cleanroom environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Familiarity with Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS).+ Understanding of electro/mechanical equipment.+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.+ Self-motivated and adaptable to change.+ Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.+ Strong operational leadership and customer/contractor management skills.Work EnvironmentThis position is based on-site at a semiconductor cleanroom environment, primarily during Monday to Friday day shifts. Initial training will be Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, followed by regular shifts starting as early as 5:30 AM, with 10-hour workdays. The dress code is casual, with provided PPE including long pants, long sleeve shirts, hard hats, and glasses. The work involves frequent activities in a cleanroom and construction environment, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and a typically moderate noise level.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
