Network Test Engineer (Callbox / Wireless Lab Specialist)Level: L1 (Entry-Level / Early Career)Work Location: Mountain View, CA (On-site Lab)Minimum QualificationsEducation: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical lab experience.Protocol Knowledge: Foundational understanding of wireless communication principles and 3GPP cellular standards (LTE and 5G NR architecture, basic signaling flow for network attach, registration, and data transfer).Callbox Experience: Direct academic or professional experience operating network simulators and callboxes such as Anritsu (MT8821C, MT8000A) or Amarisoft.Debugging Tools: Familiarity with logging and diagnostic utilities (e.g., ADB, Wireshark, terminal/command-line environments).Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset with meticulous attention to detail in logging and bug reporting.Preferred QualificationsSIM / eSIM Technology: Basic familiarity with SIM architecture, profile provisioning, and Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) operational flows.Log Analysis: Experience analyzing cellular protocol logs using tools such as Qualcomm QXDM/QCAT, Shannon DM, or equivalent chipset diagnostic software.Scripting Skills: Working knowledge of Python, Shell/Bash scripting, or SCPI commands for callbox test automation.Voice & Carrier Features: Exposure to IMS protocol flows (SIP registration, INVITE flows for VoLTE/VoNR) and carrier Technical Acceptance (TA) testing criteria.Hardware & RF Basics: Understanding of RF measurement fundamentals (RSSI, RSRP,RSRQ, SINR, path loss, and attenuation).
