Working in a high-reliability aerospace environment, you'll fabricate and terminate wiring harnesses that support spacecraft systems and ground equipment.Your precision, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will directly contribute to mission success, ensuring every connection meets the rigorous standards required for space applications.What You'll DoIn this hands-on role, you will:Fabricate wiring harnesses for spacecraft and ground support systemsBuild and terminate harnesses for racks, boxes, and spacecraft installationsPerform complex production assembly operations on aerospace systems and componentsRead and interpret:Electrical schematicsHarness wiring diagramsMechanical drawingsCircuit layoutsParts listsUse hand tools and specialized harness assembly equipment to complete precise assembliesTroubleshoot and repair electronic components as neededMaintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and documentationExplain assembly procedures and techniques to team membersCollaborate with team leads and supervisors to meet production schedulesIdentify and communicate potential production issuesSupport cross-training and mentoring of new team membersFollow clean room, PPE, safety, FOD prevention, and tool control proceduresComplete work documentation using computer-based systemsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 4 years of experience as a technician in aerospace or another high-reliability industryCurrent certification to:J-STD-001 SpaceNASA-STD-8739.4Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to qualityExperience using hand tools for assembly, repair, and troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret:SchematicsHarness wiring diagramsLayout drawingsMechanical drawingsCircuit layoutsParts listsExperience working in a clean room environmentFamiliarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirementsProficiency with computer applications used for production documentationUnderstanding of:Good housekeeping practicesTool controlFOD awareness and preventionWorkplace safety proceduresAbility to pass soldering and crimping assessmentsPreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentIPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or experience highly desired4+ years of experience using wire harness tools, including:Manual crimpersPneumatic crimpersExperience performing in-process verification (2PV)Proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentExperience mentoring or training fellow techniciansWhy Join Us?At PDS Tech Commercial, we're passionate about connecting exceptional talent with opportunities that drive innovation and exploration.
