SummaryA Substitute Teacher plays a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education within the district by providing quality instruction and support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position involves following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for students. The Substitute Teacher will work collaboratively with district staff and administration to uphold educational standards and foster a positive atmosphere for student learning. This position is paid semi-monthly, $13.50 per hour for classified positions and 14.65 per hour for Certified teaching positions.ResponsibilitiesImplement lesson plans left by the regular teacher, ensuring that the curriculum is followed effectively.Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.Manage student behavior and address any issues that arise in a timely and appropriate manner.Communicate effectively with students and staff regarding classroom activities and student progress.Record and report student attendance and any incidents or concerns to the appropriate personnel.RequirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching styles.Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.Flexibility and availability to work on your own schedule.Previous experience in a teaching or educational support role is desirable.Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per School Board Policy.Please contact Stephanie at 406-363-2280 if you have any questions.
