Fri would be a float dayTravel: Yes to the other metro locations.Position SummaryThe Injection Room Nurse/Front Office is responsible for demonstrating knowledge and application of job duties within scope of practice and functions under the direction of their manager(s) and/or Director(s); respectfully interacts with all levels of staff; provides direct nursing care during assigned duty hours; participates in department activities; promotes independence; adherence to the attendance policy; encourages socialization; advocates for the quality of life of our patients while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards; supports the company’s core values.Summary Of Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepare the injection room area each morningAdminister allergy injectionsRe-stock area, as needed, and order supplies through the approved clinic procedureComplete daily log of charges and total at end of dayCollect co-pays and print out patient receiptRe-order vials in a timely mannerOrganize refrigerated vials in appropriate binsLog daily refrigerator temperaturesMonitor shot cards monthly and discard expired vialsEnsure that consent forms are signed; explain shot room policies to new patientsEducation of patients in first injection policyMaintain and follow HIPAA policies and proceduresStay the required 30 minutes after last injection is given before lunch or the end of the dayClean toy and lobby areaKnowledge of all medications and IT treatmentCheck emergency medications monthly and reorder, as neededEffectively manage emergency procedures and protocolsOther relevant duties as assigned by DirectorPerform and complete triage tasksRegular closing of officesFront Office ResponsibilitiesCheck patients in/out and collect co-paysSchedule appointmentsAnswer phones when neededEnd of day clinic charge reportsCopy patient insurance cards and update information, as needed RequirementsAbilities, Knowledge and SkillsEffective Communication Skills To IncludeAbility to fluently speak and read English Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, handbooks, policies, patient care plans and procedure manuals Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with all levels of staff and patientsEducation, Prior Work Experience, Special Skill And Knowledge RequirementsRN/LPN6 months’ experience in a medical office setting, preferredPrevious allergy/asthma experience preferredCPR certification requiredValid Driver’s License requiredActive CPR Certification Acceptable results on Office of Inspector General, State Medicaid Exclusions, Abuse Registry Checks, Background Screenings, Drug Screen, and Sanction ChecksAbility to travel to satellite offices as neededMust be at least 18 years of age Ability to work with patients directly and pleasantlyAbility to work independentlyStrong computer skillsPrevious experience with EMR systemsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described, here, are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
