Web and Mobile Application Leader

Position OverviewAre you a hardworking, innovative technologist with a passion for applying your technical knowledge and developing your leadership skills? SBLI is seeking a dynamic Web and Mobile Applications Leader who is excited about technology and motivated to build and lead a high-performing IT delivery team. This role will report to the CIO and manage two Agile teams supporting SBLI's web and mobile applications, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire a team of 10 people across two Agile teams.Drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge web and mobile applications.Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring team members, and promoting a collaborative, innovative environment.Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions using technologies such as C#, Blazor, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, running in Docker and Azure Cloud.Develop, test, deploy, and release mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize business requirements.Champion Agile methodologies and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance SBLI's web and mobile applications.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a technical leader or architect in software development.Hands-on experience with C#, object-oriented programming, dependency injection, decorator pattern, MVC, and other design patterns.Hands-on experience with web programming in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Angular, a variety of CMSs, integration with advertising platforms, and SEO.Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps or Jenkins, and Docker.Experience with .net Maui app developing, testing, deploying, and releasing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in a scaled Agile environment.Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams.Excellent problem-solving skills and a first principles thinking approach.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Coach).Experience in the life insurance or financial services industry.Why Join SBLI?Opportunity to lead and shape the future of web and mobile applications within a forward-thinking life insurance company.Work in a collaborative and innovative environment that values continuous improvement and high performance.Competitive salary and benefits package.Commitment to professional development and career growth.About SBLISBLI is a forward-thinking life insurance company dedicated to our policyholders through innovation and excellence.
