We are seeking a Software Developer to utilize agile principles to design, develop, and launch new offerings for our customers. To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience in implementing mission-critical software development projects at scale. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-based infrastructure, automation tools, and monitoring systems. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent problem-solving skills.

This position is 100% remote! The candidate MUST reside in the contiguous United States. The candidate must be a W2 employee of GeoDelphi, Inc. No 3rd party applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing full life-cycle software development from conception to deployment.
Designing, coding/modifying, and implementing complex algorithms pursuant to customer’s requirements.
Collaborate with the development team for the creation of formal design specifications and coding of complex systems.
Design, develop, test, and deliver new features on an analytics platform suitable for deployment to both the Cloud and on-premise environments.
Performs proof of concept/prototypes for emerging technologies and practices.
Contribute to continuous evolvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, and software architecture or recommending new technologies.
Perform maintenance and enhancements on existing software.
Interface with external technical teams to implement cloud-based migration.
Finds and recommends new uses for existing data sources; designs, modifies, and builds new data processes; and builds large, complex data sets.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Cloud developer with robust technical design capabilities and knowledge of implementing design patterns.
Full stack development expertise including SQL, Python, and Java.
Identifies and implements improvements to tools and practices that assist in software deployment, operations, and monitoring processes.
Working in an agile, software development, and production environment.
Proven government and industry experience
Works well in autonomous and collaborative environments requiring minimal supervision.
DESIRED SKILLS
Deep understanding of infrastructure as code using AWS.
Working knowledge of geospatial technologies and tools (e.g., GeoPandas)
DevOps experience
GIS experience
Big data experience
