GFF-Security Officer

GFF Security Officer Provide a safe and respectful work place for both customers and employees by monitoring internal, external theft and ensuring that company policies and procedures are being followed. Must have basic knowledge on Microsoft Word for accurate report writing. Good command presence and customer service skills. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report. Patrolling the grocery store premises and identifying suspicious activity. Interact with store staff of all divisions. Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter. Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Maintain professionalism and provide great customer service experience. Observe all signs of crime or disorder. Watch video cameras and operate surveillance equipment. Take accurate notes and report in detail any suspicious activities. Investigate any and all disturbances. Monitor and control access at building entrance. Immediate responsiveness to incidents/conflicts. Assist in removing transients from property. Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Good interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of proper security procedures in a public relations/customer service atmosphere. Ability to work effectively with co-workers, the public, and other law enforcement officials. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Ability to physically control disorderly patrons. Ability to work in an environment that contains excessive noise, stress, and smoke. Ability to work on a flexible shift schedule. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time (8 or more hours) Lifting requirements (50lbs or less). Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Must have a valid driver's license.
