Position Description & QualificationsSerco North America is seeking a high-potential Public Relations & Executive Voice Specialist to help shape how we tell our story with credibility, clarity, and purpose.This role partners closely with the VP of Marketing & Communications to strengthen Serco’s reputation through media engagement, compelling storytelling, and authentic executive voice. You will identify, shape, coordinate, and communicate Serco stories for earned media, executing across media relations, executive communications, and thought leadership while learning how to operate as a trusted advisor.This will be a hyrbid work schedule out of our Herndon, VA office In This Role You WillMedia Relations & Speaker PreparationSupport development of media engagement strategiesPrepare executives for media interviews, speaking engagements, and panels with clear, fact-based materialsDraft and shepherd press releases, media briefs, Q&A documents, and messaging that reflect both leadership voice and organizational prioritiesBuild and maintain relationships with journalistsAwards & RecognitionIdentify and manage submissions for industry awards and recognition programsDevelop nominations that clearly tell the story of impact, outcomes, and organizational valueEnsure submissions reflect strong strategic thinking, measurable results, and ethical communication standardsStory Development & StorytellingIdentify and develop stories that highlight real mission impact, innovation, and people across the enterpriseCreate press materials, pitches, and contentAlign stories to business priorities, and adapt to target audiencesExecutive Voice & Thought LeadershipSupport development of authentic executive voice across channels (LinkedIn, speeches, media, internal communications)Draft and edit content that reflects each leader’s voice while maintaining consistency with company messagingHelp leaders communicate clearly, transparently, and credibly with key audiencesContribute to enterprise thought leadership that strengthens Serco’s reputation and market positionWhat This Role OffersDirect exposure to senior leadership and enterprise strategyReal-world experience in media relations, executive communications, and thought leadershipOpportunity to build a foundation for a long-term career in strategic communicationsTo Be Successful In This Role, You Will HaveU.S Citizenship required A Bachelors Degree Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, communications, media, and/or journalismExperience in media relations, storytelling, or executive communicationsExceptional writing and editing skills with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and narrative strengthStrong understanding of the media landscape and what makes a story relevantAbility to translate complex ideas into simple, engaging, and truthful communicationsStrong relationship-building skills across media, leadership, and internal stakeholdersHigh level of professionalism, judgment, and attention to detailExperience applying style guidelinesAbility to travel up to 10% Additional Desired Experience And SkillsExposure to corporate or government contracting environments preferredCompany OverviewSerco Inc.
