Job SummaryAs the leader of automation technology, responsible for designing, commissioning, and optimizing robotic systems (FANUC, ABB), PLC controls, and vision inspection to enhance production efficiency and flexibility. Requires expertise in Industry 4.0 (IIoT, digital twins), lean automation, and bilingual (English/Mandarin) skills to drive smart factory transformation.Key Responsibilities1. System Design & Integration Develop automated production lines (stamping robots, welding cells) with PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell) and sensor integration. 2. Robotics & Optimization Program robot trajectories to reduce cycle time and implement cobot applications per ISO 10218 standards. 3. Process Control & Troubleshooting Resolve equipment failures (servo motor overloads) and deploy SCADA/MES for predictive maintenance. 4. Innovation & Lean Automation Apply AI for defect prediction and eliminate non-value-added tasks through Lean methodologies. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Train production teams on automated equipment and align systems with IATF 16949/CSR requirements. 6. Compliance & Cost Ensure NFPA 79/UL compliance and optimize ROI through modular design. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automation Engineering or related field. Experience: 5+ years in automotive automation; led 2 full-scale automation projects. Certifications: Robotics Certifications (FANUC/ABB), PMP, Six Sigma preferred. Skills: Proficient in RoboDK, PLC programming, SolidWorks; bilingual for global documentation; Knowledge of industrial protocols (Profinet) and IIoT platforms (MindSphere). Attributes: Innovative problem-solver, adaptable to dynamic technical environments. Additional Information Flexibility for debug/ramp-up support (including weekends); Exposure to shop floor noise/electrical hazards; ESD gear required; Customer-specific training (e.g., VDA) provided post-hire.
