Manufacturing Engineer

Key Qualifications:
College degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Solid understanding of mechanical or electrical systems
Hands-on experience with HVAC systems and components
Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and proficient in MS Office suite
Strong organizational skills with a high level of energy and initiative
Effective problem-solving abilities with analytical thinking
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of management system standards like ISO9001 and ISO14001
Familiarity with electronic and electrical concepts is a plus
Experience with improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, Poka Yoke, 8D, PPAP, and 5Why analysis
Main Responsibilities:
Oversee manufacturing engineering efforts for mobile climate control products
Lead cross-functional teams in project execution, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
Monitor project progress, conduct evaluations, and measure outcomes post-completion
Participate in verification and validation activities as needed
Train staff on continuous improvement initiatives and audit existing procedures
Propose enhancements to meet customer standards, quality benchmarks, and operational efficiency
Develop, communicate, and promote a comprehensive continuous improvement plan
Present improvement ideas backed by data and work with leadership to secure buy-in
Engage employees in change initiatives, overcoming resistance through effective coaching
Design and conduct formal training sessions on new processes
Support manufacturing with data analysis, reporting, and process documentation
Collaborate on product development, process changes, and design reviews
Conduct time studies and verify routings, work instructions, and tooling requirements
Lead process deviations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and standards
Assist in maintaining company 5S initiatives and overall safety practices
Build simple tools, jigs, fixtures, and assist with leak detection efforts
