1st Shift - Test Stand Operator (7a-3p)Sun Hydraulics 701 - Sarasota, FLDescriptionJob Summary:The Test Stand Operator will be responsible for testing Sun Hydraulics' high-performance cartridge valves through documented test procedures ensuring functionality of valves and adherence to engineering specification.Duties/Responsibilities:Understanding how to retrieve and interpret a blueprint drawingUnderstanding of 5S principlesIssuing repair slips for valves that fail testingIdentifying non-conforming partsPerform basic testing and setup procedure of different productsDaily preventative maintenance of test stand such as checking oil levels, changing filters, checking connections for leaks, and housekeeping of working areaDeveloping knowledge of Sun product lines and learning how to test and setup more complex valve modelsCommunicating progress of incomplete work orders and issues to next shiftRequired Skills/Abilities:Willingness to learn and grow through Sun HydraulicsAbility to diagnose minor mechanical issuesTeam player mentalityExcellent attention to detailPositive attitudeAbility to function in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to prioritize work ordersEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent is preferredCar maintenance experience is a plusManufacturing experience is a plusPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of standingProlonged period of sittingAbility to lift 50 pounds at times
