Learning & Enablement Specialist

This position is a hybrid working environment in alignment with the company's corporate attendance policy; Monday-Thursday in office, Friday is a remote work day. The Chicago office is located at 2 N. Riverside Plaza (Madison and the River).We're looking for a Learning & Enablement Specialist who enjoys working directly with leaders to solve real business challenges.This role sits at the intersection of performance consulting, instructional design, and facilitation. You'll partner with leaders across the organization to diagnose performance needs, design practical learning solutions, and facilitate engaging experiences that help teams apply new skills in real operational moments.Our Learning & Enablement team focuses not only on training, but on helping leaders build stronger teams, navigate change, and improve day-to-day performance. In this role, you'll support manager development, team dynamics conversations, and leadership capability while helping translate business needs into meaningful learning and enablement solutions.We're looking for someone who brings instructional design experience, a consultative mindset, a strong facilitation presence, and who is comfortable partnering with leaders at all levels of the organization.Essential Functions/ResponsibilitiesLearning Intake & Performance SupportConduct structured intake conversations to clarify business needs and define learning objectives.Identify root causes of performance gaps and recommend appropriate solutions, which may include training, tools, process improvements, or reinforcement strategies.Partner with the Manager, Learning & Enablement to scope and prioritize initiatives.Track and document learning outcomes and feedback.Onsite & Corporate PartnershipBuild strong relationships with onsite and corporate teams to understand operational realities.Support learning initiatives related to service, maintenance, and property operations.Ensure solutions are practical, accessible, and aligned to business priorities.Travel as needed to support facilitation and stakeholder engagement.Facilitation & DeliveryFacilitate engaging in-person and virtual learning sessions for onsite and corporate teams.Deliver established programs as well as newly developed learning initiatives.Support leadership development, onboarding, operational training, and skill-building sessions.Create inclusive learning environments that drive engagement and application.Instructional DesignDesign and develop learner-centered materials including workshops, blended learning, job aids, and reinforcement tools.Design future-ready learning experiences leveraging emerging tools and technologies.Partner with subject matter experts to translate operational knowledge into structured learning experiences.Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.Update and enhance content to reflect evolving business needs.CollaborationPartner closely with other Learning & Enablement team members to ensure cohesive program delivery.Support coordination, communication, and implementation of national learning initiatives.Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times. Consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the general public.Performs other duties as assigned.The Company may revise this job description from time to time as business needs require. Ability to interpret, evaluate and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions to others accurately and easily. Able to see well enough to use the computer effectively and read written communications. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds for the dissemination of documents, supplies, materials, etc. to various locations throughout the work environment.
