Senior Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Greater Middlesex County | Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Hybrid/OnsiteOverviewWe are partnering with a well-established organization seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the accounts payable function while supporting process improvements and mentoring junior team members.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a high-volume AP environment while collaborating with internal departments and vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and review high-volume vendor invoices ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely paymentManage the full-cycle accounts payable process including invoice entry, three-way matching, and payment processing (check, ACH, and wire)Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholdersMaintain strong vendor relationships and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely mannerAssist with month-end close activities including accruals and AP reconciliationsReview and improve AP processes to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controlsSupport audit requests and documentation for internal and external auditsMentor and provide guidance to junior AP team members as neededQualifications5+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environmentStrong understanding of full-cycle AP processes and internal controlsExperience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze dataExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsWhy Join This Team?Collaborative and supportive finance teamStable organization with strong leadershipOpportunity to contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencyGROWING!
