*Responsibilities:* We are seeking a detail-oriented self-starter, who can work independently, prioritize multiple deliverables, initiate solutions, and be a strong team player in helping achieve the goals of the company. This executive role interacts with ownership, sales, operations, and the rest of the business. The Finance Director will be responsible for all aspects of accounting to include general, cost, receivables, payables, and fixed assets. The Finance Director will be responsible for cash management and provide timely and actionable financial reporting to assist management in achieving company goals. The position will report directly to the Company Principals and will be an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team.
*Specific Job Functions*
* Own the month end close process which includes, but is not limited to:
* Posting & documentation of journal entries on a timely basis
* Maintain and enhance the integrity and accuracy of the cost accounting system to provide actionable information, including KPI’s, for driving efficiency, pricing, and resource allocation
* Supervise and review work of accounting staff for completeness and accuracy
* Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules
* Ensuring completeness and accuracy of monthly financial statements
* Maintain system for all tax and regulatory filings
* Champion the cash management function to include maintaining the banking relationship and assisting the accounting staff in customer accounts receivable collections
* Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
* Lead the annual budget process and report progress against benchmarks
* Assist external accounting firm in the annual review and tax return preparation
* Provide mentorship to members of the management team on sound fiscal practices
* Complete other ad-hoc tasks when necessary
* Strong team player that interacts with ELT (and value stream team members) to collaboratively identify process improvements related to accounting accuracy and predictability.
*Job Requirements*
* Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required
* 5-10+ years of comparable work experience
* Familiarity with US GAAP
* Cost accounting experience and attention to detail is essential to success
* Proficiency in MS Office products - intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel
* Experience navigating a large ERP environment
* Epicor Experience
* Ability to work cross functionally and act as a liaison with all other departments
* Ability to adapt and strive in fast-paced environment
* Ability to train and manage clerical staff
* Ability to work with little to no supervision
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
