Title Examiner

Title Examiner 100% Remote Immediate Hire TempExperts seeks an experienced Title Examiner for a fast growing title agency. The idea candidate is focused, technically savvy, and able to multitask and would be responsible for researching and examining public records to determine the legal status of properties, identifying any issues that could impact the transfer of ownership, and preparing detailed reports for our clients. Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Conduct in-depth research using search packages provided by in-house search teams and off-site vendors. Examine public records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, and other legal documents, to establish the chain of title and identify any encumbrances or issues. Read and interpret legal descriptions relating to title orders and ensure the completeness of records. Identify and resolve issues and inconsistencies by collaborating with appropriate parties. Address missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information in title documentation. Compile and analyze findings to create accurate title reports and commitments for clients. Ensure all relevant details are included in reports and review them for accuracy before submission. Ensure all examination procedures comply with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies. Work closely with internal teams and underwriters to facilitate the smooth processing of transactions. Provide clear and concise explanations of title findings to clients and internal teams and answer any questions they may have. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Title Examiner or in a related role within the real estate or title industry. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Strong understanding of real estate law, title insurance policies, and the real estate transaction process. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in title search software and public records databases.
