Job Summary The Back-Up Turret Operator supports production operations by safely and efficiently operating turret punch press machinery as needed to meet production demands. This role ensures equipment is properly set up, maintained, and operated according to specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Operate turret punch press machinery to produce parts according to job specifications. Set up machines based on production requirements and blueprints. Load and unload materials and monitor machine performance during operation. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards. Collaborate with production and warehouse team members to meet daily production goals. Accurately document production output, materials used, and any issues encountered. Assist with training and provide operational support as needed when covering primary operator duties. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience operating turret punch press machinery or similar industrial equipment preferred. Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes and materials. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety. Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Work Environment Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Moderately loud noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment. Requires standing, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.
