This role is ideal for an energetic, entrepreneurial professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food quality, team development, and operational excellence.As Executive Chef, you’ll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations while ensuring a safe, sanitary, and efficient workplace. You’ll lead menu planning, food preparation, and staff training in alignment with company standards and client expectations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute regular and specialized menus in accordance with established guidelinesEnsure adherence to standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standardsComplete and manage daily production worksheets and waste logs; regularly taste and evaluate food qualityTrain and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation, equipment use, safety protocols, and sanitation standardsEstablish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and workspacesMonitor and manage inventory levels of food and supplies to meet operational needs while controlling costsOversee proper utilization of leftover food products within company guidelinesEnsure full compliance with all federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulationsEnforce company and departmental safety policies, including incident reportingParticipate in team meetings, training programs, and ongoing professional development initiativesPreferred Qualifications:Associate degree (A.S.) in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience5+ years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experienceHands-on chef experience in high-volume, complex foodservice environmentsStrong background in catering and large-scale or batch cooking operationsDeep knowledge of current food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, cost control, sanitation, and presentationProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and general computer systemsServSafe certification (strongly preferred)Willingness to engage in client satisfaction and engagement initiativesApply to Compass Group today!Click here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
