Training Coordinator
Harbor is looking for a Training Coordinator who is responsible for assisting with staff training and workforce development.
Position is full-time.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, or other health care related field preferred.
Prior training and development experience required.
Previous experience in Quality Improvement/Process Improvement related field preferred.
Must handle confidential information and documentation pertaining to staff and client related issues with discretion.
Proficiency in computer use including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail, highly organized, and the ability to multi-task required.
Must have a valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:
Assists with orientation for new staff onboarding in collaboration with the Quality Improvement, Human Resources and the designated agency departments.
Assists with managing training plans for required training based on rules and roles.
Coordinates, schedules, and implements annual trainings and ongoing training necessary for staff with licensure and non-licensed along with any follow-up needed.
Collaborates with external providers or organizations for potential training planning, scheduling, and management.
Creates, prepares, and distributes materials for training education.
Measures employees training retention and/or participation by providing post assessment tests and surveys for all staff and those needed to complete CEU requirements.
Performs routine data entry and reporting measures for compliance activities as directed by the Quality Improvement staff.
Utilizes the database program to manage and track training and education initiatives.
Actively seeks current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees.
Facilitates location scheduling and equipment preparation for any in person training or necessary preparation for virtual recorded or live training.
