Job DetailsDescriptionHPTA Tiger SpecialistBasic Scope/PurposeThe HPTA Tiger Specialist is responsible for the set-up, adjustment(s) and process improvement of the Tiger and Slitter. The HPTA Tiger Specialist will handle A & B size tools.Principal AccountabilitiesProperly complete HPTA and HPTB mold changes using parameters listed on work orders and work instructions.Solve production processing problems and recommend ways to improve productivity.Manage own time effectively to ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with procedure.Examine and measure molded sleeves and finished belts for adherence to surface and dimensional specifications, using gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and drop gauges.Demonstrate operation of Tiger/Slitter to production workers and examine work to detect production defects.Recommend productivity improvements.Operate a Tiger without assistance.Recommend PM frequency and activities where appropriate.Adjust process to meet specifications, improve productivity, yields & quality.Confer with Quality Assurance personnel to gain approval for a properly completed Tiger/Slitter setup.Use root cause analysis to determine what changes can be incorporated to prevent a problem from recurring.Pursue initiatives to improve productivity, yield and safety.Follow proper lockout/tag out procedures when repairing equipment.Complete all jobs in a timely manner to minimize machine downtime.Solicit feedback from production associates on machine changes and new processes.Report and address unsafe situations on the production floor to your supervisor.Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, cranes, etc.Other duties as assigned.Maintain and Promote Fenner Precision Polymers Values and Behaviors at all times.Career Progression OpportunitiesN/AEducation And/or Relative ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsNone RequiredEnvironmental, Health & Safety AccountabilitiesLearn and follow EHS policies, rules and work instructionsAttend required EHS trainingWear the required PPE at all timesTake personal responsibility for keeping yourself and your co-workers and visitors free from injury by participating in and/or conducting risk assessments, work place inspections, corrective actions and safety observationsReport incidents, near miss, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and other hazards in the work place.
