Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager

Executive Chef Job Description Duties: - Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food production, banquet catering, and other services - Develop menus and recipes that meet the needs of the guests and the local community - Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations - Train and supervise kitchen staff, including assistant managers, line cooks, and bartenders - Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute events and special occasions - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Skills: - At least 1 year of experience as an executive chef or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team - Excellent communication skills to work effectively with other departments and vendors - Ability to create innovative menus that appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, inventory management software, and kitchen management software Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience level - Comprehensive health insurance package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage - Paid time off for vacation, sick days, and holidays - Opportunities for career advancement within the company Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred but not required. - Must have experience working in a restaurant setting. - Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid training Vision insurance Shift: 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: Houston, TX 77003: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
