About Clyfford Still MuseumHome to one of the world’s most intact public collections of any major artist, the Clyfford Still Museum offers nine beautiful galleries of Still’s art, historic photos, objects and letters from the Clyfford Still Archives, interactive features, tranquil outdoor terraces, views into storage and conservation areas, a hands-on art creation studio, shopping, exciting programs and events, and more.Considered one of the most important painters of the 20th century, Clyfford Still (1904–1980) was among the first generation of Abstract Expressionist artists. The Clyfford Still Museum collection represents more than 93 percent of the artist’s lifetime output, including approximately 3,125 works created between 1920 and 1980, as well as his complete archives.The Clyfford Still Museum is located in the heart of Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District west of the Denver Art Museum’s Hamilton Building. The two-story, 28,500-square-foot building was designed by Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture specifically to display Clyfford Still’s work.The Clyfford Still Museum stewards a collection of artworks that belong to the City and County of Denver—the people of Denver. This civic identity animates our belief that everyone can find meaningful connections with our collection regardless of background, level of education, or art experience.About This Role / PositionPublic Programs & Tours Specialist The Clyfford Still Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the life and work of Clyfford Still, a key figure in 20th-century art.The Public Programs & Tours Specialist is responsible for the administration and coordination of engaging, inclusive programs and tours for adult audiences, both onsite and online, and in the community. This role supports the Museum’s mission by fostering a deeper public connection to Still’s work and creating meaningful experiences that welcome and inspire a wide range of visitors. Through collaboration, program facilitation, and tour development, the Public Programs & Tours Specialist advances CSM’s commitment to access, education, and lifelong learning.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides essential administrative support for public programs and adult tours Serve as the main point of contact for programming in Altru, building public programs and evergreen tours (for adults, community, and early childhood programming), and reporting out as neededUpdate CSM calendars with program and tour informationSupport project management by tracking projects in Asana, ensuring all tasks are updated, assigned to the correct team member, have accurate due dates, and ensuring team accountability for deadlines.Draft meeting agendas and record/distribute meeting notes to support clear communication and follow-through on action items.Prepare and submit invoices and payment requests to Accounting in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy, appropriate documentation, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.Participate in post-program evaluation processes as needed and write recaps for each tour and program ledLiaise with program and tour partners on paperwork, meetings, and run of showsAttend onsite logistics meetings as the primary Learning & Engagement team liaison for programs and tours; coordinate with the Learning & Engagement team accordingly to prepare for review of event forms and run of show details for upcoming programs and toursCollaborate on the design and facilitation of tours and workshops for adult audiencesLead customized tours and workshops onsite, online, and offsite for general and specific adult audience segmentsCo-design and facilitate public tours, including Beyond the Canvas, Still Uncovered, and mini tours for free/pay-what-you-wish daysLead private tours and workshops by request, including those for private events, corporate partners, and Museum member programsManage and maintain documents related to tour policies, procedures, and scriptsEnsure program and tour supplies are stocked in coordination with the Learning and Engagement teamImplement ongoing public programsCoordinate and facilitate evergreen programs such as Music in the Galleries, Stillness, One Painting at a Time, and the Summer Concert SeriesSupport adult exhibition programs and special projects as neededCollaborate with internal teams to implement programsCoordinate scheduling and logistics with the Adult Program and Tour Manager, Director of Learning and Engagement, Assistant Director of School & Teacher Programs, Family, Early Childhood, and Community Engagement Manager, and Bilingual Request CoordinatorCollaborate with other Museum departments (e.g., Visitor Experience, Marketing, Security) to ensure successful implementationParticipate in ongoing paid training focused on teaching strategies, accessibility, equity, and engagement with art and adult learnersParticipate in high-impact HR efforts and contribute to team cultureConsistently behave in line with organizational values, norms, and behavior expectationsContribute to building and sustaining team engagement, morale, and a high-performing culture Attend and actively contribute to team meetings OverviewABOUT YOU / THE IDEAL CANDIDATEYou are an organized, collaborative, and audience-centered professional who is energized by connecting people with art through thoughtful programs and meaningful conversations. You bring strong administrative and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple timelines, systems, and partnerships while keeping details organized and moving forward. At the same time, you are comfortable facilitating engaging experiences for adult audiences—whether leading a tour, supporting a workshop, or collaborating with colleagues and external partners to bring a program to life.
