IMEG is seeking aSenior Structural Engineerspecializing inFacility Performanceto join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will lead large and highly complex structural engineering projects, providing project management, technical direction, and innovative solutions for building and facility performance. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, code-compliant structural systems for a variety of facility types. Principal Responsibilities Lead design efforts for the analysis of structural systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standardsPerform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reportsInteract with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; build and maintain client relationshipsProvide in-process design reviews of structural system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence; implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure compliance with quality and industry standardsProvide technical training and mentoring; assist in resolution of field issues with minimal support from senior staffStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering; contribute to research, development, and innovation effortsPrioritize safety in all aspects of engineering workConduct oneself in an ethical and professional mannerCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutionsParticipate in project interviews and presentationsRequired Qualifications and Skills Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, requiredMaster's Degree (MS) in Structural Engineering preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industryMastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specificationsMastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles in mechanics and materials, load paths, design techniques, design standards including steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and concepts involved in structural systems of buildings and structuresStrong training, mentoring and leadership skillsAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate effective team building skillsAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsEagerness to adapt to new challengesProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight staysWhy Join Us IMEG puts people first-with a strong focus on career growth, work-life balance, and meaningful impact.
