Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer Location: Chattanooga, TN (100% Onsite) Duration: 6–9 Month Contract Pay Rate: $45-$50/hr Overview Central Point Partners is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support a large enterprise organization in Chattanooga, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys working across virtualization, storage, backup, cloud, and modern workplace technologies in a primarily on-premises environment. This position is 100% onsite in Chattanooga, TN. Responsibilities Administer and support VMware virtual infrastructure. Manage and maintain Pure Storage environments. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veeam Backup & Replication solutions. Support and administer Google Workspace environments. Assist with AWS infrastructure and cloud-related initiatives. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms. Collaborate with internal IT teams to maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure. Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and ongoing optimization efforts. Document system configurations, procedures, and technical changes. Required Qualifications 3–7+ years of infrastructure engineering or systems engineering experience. Hands-on experience with: VMware vSphere / ESXi Pure Storage Veeam Backup & Replication Google Workspace Administration AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, or related services) Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise infrastructure technologies. Experience supporting Windows Server environments. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work onsite in Chattanooga, TN. Preferred Qualifications VMware, AWS, Veeam, or storage-related certifications. Experience supporting public sector or government environments. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP.
