Basic Purpose of the Position: To provide the highest quality, safety, and performance standards within grade in the Flat Welding department.Major Areas of Responsibility:Maintain production scheduleThe ability to weld Black, Galvanized and Stainless Steel at the highest quality.The ability to Mig weld meeting all quality and quantity standards.Maintain a safe and clean work areaPerform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PM's that are the operator's responsibilityComplete all production and quality documentationAssist in all other departments as required.Maintain a high quality of weld appearanceMaintain a high production rate within the skill level averaging 85% and aboveMake quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and productions expectationsPosition Challenges & Latitude:Demonstrate superior service skill(s) and professionalism in day-to-day dealings with coworkers, setting a good example in attendance and work ethics.Willingness to learnSuccessfully performed as an entry level welder for one year minimumContinually demonstrate good attendance practices, minimizing unplanned absencesEnsures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintainedMaintain a cheerful and positive attitudeStrive to continually improve quality, safety, and productivity within your department.Able to understand and follow all MAP's, PAP's, CRN, B31.5, ASME, TMI's, TPI's, and SOP's that pertain to the productAble to complete all documents pertaining to the processSafe operation of all overhead lifting cranes and jib boomsAble to determine good weld quality during the welding process and make correction as neededAssist in other areas of the shop when neededAble to be recertified as needed (Structural Certifications)Mentor lessor experienced weldersKnowledge, Skills, & Experience:Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)Read a tape measure to within 1/16"A general understanding of common hand tools is preferred.High School diploma or GED equivalentGood communication skills, both written and verbalAble to read and understand all engineering prints related to the processMaintain the required welder certification within the skill levelWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Manufacturing environmentContinuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workdayWear PPE when required - Manufacturing AreasShift work, days or evenings, Monday through Friday, and some Saturday's and Sunday'sJob Progression - Typical:Assisting in planning of the department in the supervisor's absence including department reporting, set-up and flow of production within the shift and for the next shift.Evapco's Summary of Pay & Benefits:The salary range consists of base pay and most recent profit sharing bonus amountsMedical, Vision, & Dental InsuranceEmployee Stock Ownership Program - we are an employee-owned companyProfit Sharing Bonus - which is paid twice per yearPretax Savings & Investment PlanPaid HolidaysPaid VacationPaid Maternity and Paternity LeaveBereavement PayCompany Paid Basic Life Insurance equivalent to base salary, with option for Supplemental Life electionSick LeaveLong Term Disability
