Plasma Engineer
We're hiring: Plasma Engineer ⚡ Turn plasma science into the next generation of fusion experiments. 📍 Berkeley, CA | Full-time | On-site 💰 $130K–$180K base Join Alpha Ring's Science & Research Team, reporting to our Chief Science Officer, to design, build, and run experimental plasma systems with a cross-disciplinary team of physicists and engineers.
🔬 What you'll do:
- Run experiments on plasma generation, stability, and performance
- Integrate plasma sources, vacuum systems, power supplies, and diagnostics
- Calibrate diagnostics and analyze data (Python, MATLAB)
- Compare results with models and drive improvements 🎯 What you bring
- Degree in Physics, Nuclear/Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years hands-on lab or R&D experience (graduate research counts)
- Practical experience with plasma, vacuum, or RF/high-voltage systems
