Focused PM auditing, entering the info in Excel and Google sheets, not really alot of asset management mostly auditing of data center, 4 data centers many systems, someone with auditing and desktop and data center would be goodLocation: Orangeburg, NY / Dayton, NJ/ Totowa, NJ, Piscataway, NJ (Candidates Should be flexible to work onsite at all of these locations depending on the client's need at the time of Job offer, Rotational )Duration: 12 MonthsNotes from Manager:I don't need them to be super technical on the IT side like the DC Ops CW. They should have some understanding though. If you have folks doing IT audits now I am guessing they would fit the bill.JOB DESCRIPTION:Data Centers are at the heart of technologies, which produce, distribute and protect some of the most critical and valuable data in global business. The Hardware Services team is dedicated to ensure a smooth end-to-end process for data center activities. In this role you will be expected to work with our various server vendors to audit maintenance coverage for all assets globally. You will be expected to perform physical audits to reconcile asset location data within the 4 Enterprise Data Centers. You will also be expected to work with smart hands remotely around the world to assist with asset reconciliation. The overall goal of this position is to get a 100% accuracy of assets to ensure the fleet is covered by a maintenance agreement.We'll trust you to:Audit global server vendor maintenance coverage and reconcile discrepanciesPerform audits within the four (4) Enterprise Data Centers to validate presence, serial numbers, and location accuracyDocument audit findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions utilizing our asset management systemEscalate uncovered or unsupported assetsCollaborate with Hardware Services stakeholders to continuously improve audit processes and ensure end-to-end alignmentReport audit outcomes, asset reconciliation progress, and compliance metrics to senior managementYou'll need to have:A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experienceStrong skills with Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, & ExcelWorking knowledge of JIRA, Grafana, Humio, or other virtualization toolsAbility to work independently and in a team while prioritizing workloadsStrong communication skills and experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to educate and influence team members to help continually moving the team’s skill set forwardSenior Project management experienceWe’d love to see:Hands-on experience with server and network hardware out-of-band environmentsHands on experience across a multitude of compute, storage, and network hardware platformsCompTIA A+, NET+, and/- Interest in learning new technologiesExposure to basic programming or scriptingExposure with data analytics in a similar role
