Senior Technical Lead – Embedded Networking (C++ / Linux) Job Summary We are seeking aSenior Technical Lead – Embedded Networkingto lead and mentor a team working on high‑performance, user‑space C++ applications running on embedded Linux platforms. This role focuses onnetworked services, long‑running daemons, IPC, and media streaming applications , with no kernel or driver development involvement. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on expertise inC/C++ on Linux , strong networking fundamentals, and experience building reliable, production‑grade services for embedded environments. Key Responsibilities Providetechnical leadership and mentorshipto a team of developers working on embedded networking solutions, improving code quality, scalability, and overall productivity. Performin‑depth code reviewsfor C++ and Linux user‑space applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance optimization, and memory‑safe design. Design, build, and supportmulti‑process, long‑running Linux services and daemons , including systemd unit configuration, startup sequencing, monitoring, and recovery behavior. Actively participate intechnical design discussions, architectural reviews, and feasibility assessments , identifying risks and recommending optimal technical solutions. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while contributing to accurate technical estimates. Prepare and shareregular project status updates , proactively identifying risks and supporting timely resolution of technical escalations. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands‑on experience withC and C++ development on Linux , including: Multi‑process / multi‑threaded applications IPC mechanisms Performance profiling and memory debugging Solid understanding ofLinux user‑space service development , including systemd, journald logging, and service lifecycle management. Strongnetworking fundamentals , including: TCP/UDP, TLS DHCP/DNS REST/HTTP at the application layer Message brokers such asMQTT(topic design, QoS, tuning, client behavior) Experience withGStreamer and audio/video pipelines , including RTP streaming, codec integration, and playback troubleshooting. Working knowledge of deploying and running C++ applications onembedded Linux targets , including: Image packaging and configuration management On‑device logging and diagnostics Behavior across power cycles and network transitions Comfortable working in across‑compile environment , usingGit/SVNsource control and ticket‑driven workflows. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and stakeholder teams.
