This leadership role is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, collaborative professional with a background in business and marketing, passionate about working at an open-access, student-centered, applied-learning university.Position Overview:The Assistant (or Associate) Dean provides strategic, operational, and academic support to the Dean while working closely with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. The position plays a key role in advancing enrollment, strengthening industry engagement, supporting accreditation and assessment efforts, and promoting the College's programs through effective communication and marketing strategies.Key Responsibilities:Support the Dean in the administration and strategic leadership of the College of Business and Professional StudiesTeach 1-2 Business classes as neededCollaborate with faculty and department chairs on curriculum development, assessment, and AACSB accreditation initiativesLead or support marketing, recruitment, and outreach efforts to promote College programs and increase enrollmentFoster relationships with industry partners, alumni, and community stakeholders to enhance experiential learning opportunities and represent the College externallyAssist with faculty support, student advising initiatives, and academic schedulingAnalyze data related to enrollment, retention, and student success to inform decision-makingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Visionary leadership in support of teaching excellence and student learning, experience leading change and innovation utilizing strategic planning and continuous improvement.Success as a creative, innovative, energetic instructional leader with a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking approach.Experience as an academic leader committed to continued improvement.The ability to creatively problem-solve and make decisions that incorporate data, experience, and collaboration with faculty and staff.A commitment to open and transparent division-level financial processes and communication.Skill in developing and evaluating academic programs and assessing student learning outcomes.Excellent organizational skills in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.Effective written and oral communication skills with various groups.
