Business Tax Senior Manager - M&A Partnership

This role will advise their business clients to navigate complex tax regulations, particularly during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. The successful candidate also enjoys mentoring younger staff, seeking ongoing learning, and providing exemplary client service.Tax Managers operate as leaders and mentors within our Firm by demonstrating the ability to:Lead engagements by meeting client needs with a sense of urgency.Develop recommendations and maintaining client relationships by balancing the client needs along with other assignments and deadlines.Provide proactive advice based on their knowledge of tax law, particularly within business tax.Demonstrate initiative to creatively solve issues in collaboration with the lead.Leverage technology to automate both internal and client processes to improve efficiency.Act as a mentor to younger staff and work directly with Directors and Partners.We are seeking an individual who is curious, self-motivated, and a team player with the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other relevant discipline6+ years of tax experience in public accounting, with 2+ years in managerial role preferredCPA-certified and active licenseExpertise in management of business and entity tax compliance and providing knowledgeable review of complex returnsBackground and experience managing and actively providing advisory and tax solutions to clientsFeels empowered to provide solutions and ideasValues professional developmentExhibits excellent project and team leadership, and communication skillsShares our focus on growth and problem-solvingMowery & Schoenfeld, LLC is an accounting, advisory, and IT services firm headquartered in Lincolnshire, Illinois, with satellite offices in the Chicago Loop, Downtown Miami, and the Philippines.
