The Inventory Control Clerk position supports factory operations by receiving, stocking and delivering parts and supplies. This includes both the physical transportation of materials and maintaining electronic and hard copy records. The organization is responsible for maintaining an optimal inventory of parts, materials and supplies to support 24x7 operations.The schedule for this position is FD - Sunday, Monday,Tuesday, and every other Wednesday 6:25 am - 6:40 pm.Train and operate in both shipping/receiving and an inventory warehouseReceive and stock parts and raw materials according to established proceduresPull required parts and raw materials from stock and deliver to internal customers according to established procedures including FIFOFind and follow outlined procedures located in specification data base and training guideCycle count inventory of spare partsInventory raw materials, e.g. gases and chemicalsUpdate or modify spare part and raw materials informationProcess and review PIO’s (inventory purchase orders) for accuracy and needAccurately complete required computer entry and/or documentation to track inventoryOperate lifting devices such as forklift and pallet jackPrepare product shipmentsCoordinate with Supply Management, expedite ‘down’ equipment parts, reorder low stock and repair parts shipmentsRequirements/QualificationsHigh School or GED plus a minimum of 2 years work experience requiredMust be customer service orientedMust work well with others and independentlyGood verbal and written communication skillsExperience with MS Office softwareData entry experienceValid driver's license (to transport material as needed to off-site warehouse)Preferred QualificationsWarehouse/Stores/Shipping/Receiving experience in a manufacturing settingBaan/ERP system experienceCritical Physical RequirementsThe physical requirements described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Unassisted, the employee must regularly lift/carry and/or push/pull/roll objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/carry and/or push/pull/roll objects up to 65 pounds, occasionally lift/carry and/or push/pull/roll objects up to 75 pounds or team lift items 75-125 poundsAssisted (pallet jack, fork truck), the employee must routinely lift and/or push/pull/roll objects that weigh in excess of 1,000 poundsMust be able to work while sitting 40%; standing 30%; walking 30%Ability to carry out repetitive motion tasksPosition requires climbing of ladders, stairs, and/or stools for top-level selectionRequires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations (typing, etc.)Requires handling, bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, reachingRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature, humidity, and noiseThis is a Safety Sensitive position.This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.Travel Time0% - 25%Physical AttributesBending at Waist, Bending at Waist, Carrying, Climbing, Crawling, Crouching, Dust or gases, Electrical Hazards, Extreme Cold, Extreme Heat, Feeling, Foot Controls, Fumes or Odors, Handling, Hearing, Kneeling, Lifting, Mechanical Hazards, Noise and/or vibration, Other, Piece Work, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Seeing {+ 5 more}Physical RequirementsLiftingMicrochip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
