You'll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.SummaryThe Charge Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, maintains accurate documentation, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.This role may also be known as:Charge Nurse (LPN), LPN Supervisor, Floor Nurse (LPN), Shift Supervisor (LPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse - Charge Role.What You'll DoOversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shiftsEnsure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and proceduresSupervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAsComplete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation as neededCommunicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadershipAdminister medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocolsConduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being metAddress, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglectEnsure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadershipCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safetyUphold Americare's mission, vision, values, and company policiesWhat You BringLicensure / CertificationCurrent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license requiredExperience & SkillsFamiliarity with state and federal nursing regulationsStrong communication, leadership, and clinical judgment skillsExperience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferredCommitmentPassion for resident-centered care and team collaborationAlignment with Americare's Mission, Vision, Home Town Hospitality, and F.A.M.I.L.Y.
