Sr. Accountant

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, California. In this contract to hire role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. If you have a strong background in accounting and enjoy working in dynamic environments, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:- Prepare and record payroll and revenue journal entries accurately and efficiently.- Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.- Conduct detailed analyses and compile monthly financial statements.- Develop and maintain supplemental schedules to be included in monthly reporting packages.- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices in all tasks.- Assist with month-end close processes and provide support for financial reporting.- Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively.- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.- Utilize accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, to perform daily tasks.- Support audits and provide necessary documentation as required.Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a strong focus on detail.- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.- Experience in month-end close processes and account reconciliations.- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar accounting software.- Previous experience working in multi-entity environments such as long-term care or real estate is preferred.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
