Quality Control Inspector

Quality Control InspectorDecatur Diamond, LLC, a manufacturer of diamond based tooling is seeking an Inspector to join our Quality Control Department for our production facility located in Decatur, IN. The hours for this position will be 8:30 AM 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The candidate will be responsible for final inspection of all parts. Must also perform calibration of inspection, measuring and testing equipment. Applicant must possess skills with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word). Applicant also should be proficient in the use of inspection equipment.The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined or have past Quality Control experience. Trade school or prior machining experience is preferred. We will train the right individual.Decatur Diamond offers an excellent benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with both a base and matching contribution, paid holidays/PTO, long-term/short-term disability and life insurance.Responsibilities for Quality Control InspectorPerforming final inspection of parts according to established inspection criteria.Calibration of inspection, measuring and testing equipmentPerforming manual inspections correctly and accuratelyProficient use of computer driven and automated inspection equipmentCompliance with all safety and health regulationsQualifications for Quality Control InspectorHigh School Diploma or GEDBasic knowledge of Inspection procedures including: prints/drawings, critical dimension and tolerances.Basic knowledge of manual inspection equipment: micrometers, calipers, comparatorsProficient in reading drawings, prints and understanding inspection criteriaComputer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and WordDetailed-oriented with a good work ethicPossess good basic math skillsTakes pride in assisting with the production of high quality American-made productsAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to work in a team
