This role is designed for professionals who can step into active production environments, rapidly assess risk, align stakeholders, and drive structured resolution of quality issues with speed and discipline. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted quality advisor to plant leadership - balancing immediate containment with sustainable corrective actions and system-level improvement.Required Skills & Qualifications10+ years of Quality Engineering experience in OEM or Tier 1 automotive manufacturingExpert-level structured problem solving (8D), root cause analysis, and corrective action executionStrong command of quality systems and core tools (PPAP, FMEA, control plans, APQP fundamentals)Proven experience leading supplier and internal quality escalations, including containment and NCR investigationsExecutive presence with the ability to communicate risk, decisions, and action plans to leadership and customersAuthorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipPreferred Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related disciplineExperience supporting customer audits, launch support, and run-at-rate readiness activitiesSuccess in turnaround environments, escalation response, or interim leadership supportAbility to coach and mentor Quality Technicians, inspectors, or team leads to strengthen executionFlexibility to support multiple local sites within the Nashville area as business needs evolveDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesDeploy on-site to assess, contain, and resolve urgent manufacturing quality issuesDefine stabilization plans that protect the customer and restore production flowLead cross-functional problem-solving sessions with clear ownership, timelines, and verificationDevelop and close 8D documentation for internal, supplier, and customer-facing concernsOversee inspection, rework, or controlled shipping activities when needed and drive exit criteriaProvide concise status reporting to stakeholders and support customer visits and audits as requiredPhysical and Environmental RequirementsWork is performed primarily in active manufacturing and production environmentsStanding, walking, and/or sitting for extended periods may be requiredAbility to lift up to 25–50 lbs depending on assignment and site requirements
