Senior Master Data Architect (Informatica MDM)100% Onsite – Austin, TX (Local Only) | Contract | Start: 09/01/2026Position OverviewSeeking a senior Master Data Architect to design and implement master data solutions for a multi-terabyte MDM implementation supporting the Enterprise Information Management team. The candidate will develop and implement new MDM capabilities using the Informatica IDMC tool stack, collaborate with EIM program staff and IT resources, and implement new program requirements for mastering critical agency data, identity resolution, trusted attribution, and governed reference data. This role requires 8 or more years of advanced Informatica and ETL expertise with deep MDM architecture experience. Local Austin-area candidates only — within 50-mile radius, must already reside in Texas. No remote work.Key ResponsibilitiesMDM Architecture and Development Design and implement master data solutions for healthcare provider and managed care member domains using Informatica tool stack. Develop ETL processes for system data into MDM applications using Oracle, Snowflake, and Informatica tools. Develop, test, and maintain enhancements and upgrades to MDM application layers. Work closely with EIM data architects, subject matter experts, and system data models to accurately represent as-is and to-be process models. Manage operational responsibility for metadata loads. Plan and monitor MDM and metadata project lifecycle deployment using Agile methods. Ensure build and deployment of MDM components comply with IT coding and security standards. Develop and implement new MDM capabilities using Informatica IDMC. Design and implement Informatica PowerCenter custom solutions. Install and configure Informatica Metadata Manager architecture. Work with Erwin and ERStudio data modeling tools or equivalent toolsets. Apply Enterprise Information Management best practices across all data architecture activities.Strategic Liaison and Translation Work with program areas and project sponsors to plan and execute multiple analytics projects asynchronously. Explain project findings and data limitations in simple, non-technical language to agency leadership and program staff.AI Prompting and Data Synthesis Develop and refine effective AI prompts and query strategies to retrieve and synthesize master data for complex data domains. Develop a library of standardized prompts and query templates for common reporting needs. Provide subject matter expertise on validating AI output and identifying and mitigating hallucinations. Ensure all data outputs adhere to agency reporting standards, data governance, and compliance regulations. Promote a data-driven culture by enabling staff to effectively utilize data and AI. Stay current on new AI and data analytics tools and techniques.Collaboration and Problem-Solving Work closely with data engineering, IT, and program teams to troubleshoot data-related issues and address inconsistencies.
