Founding Forward Deployed AI EngineerSan Francisco, CA$180,000 to $350,000 base + equityWe’re partnering with an early stage AI company building infrastructure to evaluate and certify AI systems. They work directly with leading AI labs and teams to test how models and agents behave in real world scenarios, and are building the tooling to make those evaluations rigorous and repeatable. The team is small, technical, and moving quickly with strong backing.This is a founding forward deployed role where you’ll work directly with customers to design and run AI evaluations, build the underlying infrastructure, and shape how these systems get validated in production environments.What you’ll do:• Own end to end customer implementations from discovery and scoping through to deployment and certification• Design and build robust AI evaluation frameworks for complex models and agent systems• Work closely with customer teams to deeply understand their systems and iterate quickly• Build tooling and infrastructure in Python and TypeScript to make evaluations scalable and repeatable• Feed insights from customer work back into core product and technical strategyWhat we’re looking for:• Strong expeerience as an IC, owning technical delivery and customer relationships end to end• Early stage experience (founder, founding engineer, or early hire), ideally in a forward deployed context• Strong hands on engineering in Python and TypeScript, able to ramp quickly across systems• Experience with LLMs, agents, or evaluation frameworks in production• Clear signal of excellence (fast progression, standout work) and strong communication skillsIf this sounds like a good fit, apply today and we'll be in touch.
