Senior Molding / Process EngineerThe Senior Molding / Process Engineer supports the development and improvement of rubber and silicone molding processes used in production. This role focuses on helping manufacturing run efficiently and consistently by improving processes, solving production problems, and supporting new product launches.The engineer works closely with production, tooling, quality, and maintenance teams in a hands‑on manufacturing environment, particularly within a regulated medical device settingKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and improve molding processes for silicone and rubber partsSupport injection, compression, and transfer molding operationsHelp ensure molding processes run consistently, safely, and efficientlyTroubleshoot molding issues such as quality defects, part inconsistencies, or equipment problemsAssist with setting, documenting, and maintaining standard process parametersSupport production teams with day‑to‑day technical questions and issuesWork with tooling and maintenance teams to improve molds and equipment performanceParticipate in root cause investigations and help implement corrective actionsUse basic data and process trends to identify improvement opportunitiesSupport new product launches by assisting with trials, process setup, and production readinessHelp train operators and technicians on proper process practicesParticipate in continuous improvement, lean, and efficiency projectsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical fieldSeveral years of experience in a manufacturing or molding environmentExperience working with silicone and/or rubber materialsFamiliarity with molding processes and manufacturing equipmentStrong problem‑solving skills and ability to work hands‑on in productionAbility to read technical drawings and follow documented proceduresComfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environmentPreferred ExperienceBackground in medical device or regulated manufacturingExperience working with molding tools, process documentation, or quality systemsExposure to continuous improvement or lean manufacturing conceptsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionallyJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mundelein, IL.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
