Compensation$16.20Compensation TypeHourlyEmployment TypeRegularGradeNE03Position SummaryEnsures labs or classrooms are operational and provides supplementary instruction assistance to students and teachers in classrooms, workshops or open lab facilities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversees the operation of assigned laboratories to ensure a safe, orderly, neat, clean and secure working environment.May setup advanced or technical equipment for the classroom or laboratory settings.Receives and inventories; order, receive, catalog, and store tools, and equipment in accordance with established proceduresProvides assistance in the participation and distribution of materials for instructors, which include setting up demonstrations, preparing materials and equipment for lectures, creating handouts.Assists students in the safe use of equipment, materials and vehicles as required.Provides advanced support and resolves problems related to lab equipment.Assists instructors in evaluations and laboratory exercise; conducts tours of lab; and coordinates fire and safety regulation compliance as needed.Hires, supervises and schedules work/study studentsProvides computer and technical support in the installation, operation and minor repair of computers, related software, hardware and other related equipment.Performs other related duties as assigned.Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDSuccessful completion of thirty (30) hours of postsecondary course workANDA minimum of nine (9) hours in the specific discipline; content courses must be completed with a grade of B or betterPreferencesAt least 1 year in the related field or education.Requires use of electrical tools and power equipmentAble to lift at least 50 poundsAble to climb laddersClean Driving recordExperience with industrial automation, motor systems, and electronic technology is preferred.
