Rental Sales RepresentativeA successful Rental Sales Representative will manage and further develop existing rental relationships and uncover new rent to rent customer opportunities. Rental Sales Representatives primarily work outside of the branch and are focused on delivering equipment and technology solutions to meet our customers' evolving needs. Rental Sales Representatives utilize effective selling and account management techniques to grow their portfolio of business and deliver exceptional financial results for their assigned branch.
Rental Equipment: Construction equipment used for/in earthmoving, underground construction, quarrying, crushing, paving & recycling and any associated attachments and technology.
Essential FunctionsSalesDeliver customer success by managing current needs of existing rental customers and uncovering additional Murphy Tractor solutions to meet new and evolving needs.
Utilize market awareness tools to find and develop new rental customers.
Increase customer loyalty, market awareness and market share by delivering an exceptional customer experience through Murphy Tractor's rental operations.
Effectively use selling skills to understand customers needs, wants, concerns and expectations and deliver customized solutions to address these items.
Research current industry market trends and competitive influences.
Work independently and in collaboration with TSM's and CESM's to grow Murphy Tractor rental awareness with all customers in an assigned Area of Responsibility.
Sell attachments under $20,000.00 Selling price when opportunities arise during normal Rental Sales Representative activity.
Formulate rental quotes based on customer needs. Complete Rental Documentation.
Document customer problems and dissatisfactions, offer solutions, keep customers informed and provide feedback of actions taken.
Share sales leads and customer information with the equipment sales team to maximize customer opportunities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date lost rental report and prospects lists.
Attend training and sales/rental meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and sales promotions.AdministrativeAssist with post rental processes to better maintain Murphy Tractor's rental fleet, control expenses and ensure an exceptional rental experience for our customers.
Submit reports detailing lost rental activities and evaluate the results.
Assist in rental collections when needed.
Assist with other duties assigned and directed by corporate management within the framework of Murphy Tractor and Equipment Company, Inc's objectives.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesEffectively communicate the needs of customers across multiple functions and dealership departments.
Utilize selling skills with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience by matching customer needs to Murphy Tractor rental solutions.
Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment used for/in earthmoving, underground construction, crushing, paving & recycling and associated attachments and technology.
Good skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for demonstration purposes.
Strong ability to manage a portfolio of accounts in a fast-paced business environment.
Knowledge and experience utilizing Office 365 products including but not limited to Word, Excel and Power BI.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Able to process work with accuracy.
Able to meet commitments and deadlines.
Able to complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to work a flexible schedule as needed.

Physical Requirements and Work ScheduleAble to do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Able to frequently load, unload and secure equipment and attachments. Able to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Able to travel out of office 30% of workday including occasional overnight stays.
Education/Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred, with undergraduate coursework in business, marketing, finance or related field and/or at least three years of equivalent experience as a rental manager in the heavy equipment industry.
